Elsi coined the phrase many years ago. It might sound cocky and superficial, but for us there’s a lot to it. It means we need to be really good at sourcing products and guiding you through the jungle of all the different models. We’re also honest if we know something won’t work out. For us, it’s not about ‘selling one more pair of glasses’; for us, it’s about ensuring you’re satisfied. That way, we know you’ll come back, and with more than 80 years in the same premises, that’s something that’s important to us.

Although I don’t have any vision problems (at the moment), I’ve really appreciated the expertise and knowledge in this field that the organisation possesses, as well as the uncompromising approach Hultins takes when it comes to brands that focus on craftsmanship and quality. I myself own several pairs of sunglasses from Hultins, from a range of niche and exciting brands, and have commissioned unique lenses for older frames from brands such as Cartier, which are now some of my absolute favourites.

My eyesight’s been a bit of a mess on and off, but I’ve never been to an optician who gives me such good answers to everything and genuinely wants me to get the best solutions for me and my work. I am a brand-new customer at Hultins Optik and this was my very first visit – but I can already say that I have found my optician for the future.
For many, many years I have gone back and forth between different opticians and, to be honest, never felt truly satisfied. It has often felt like you come in, get examined as quickly as possible, and then it’s on to the next customer. I have long missed an optician who actually takes the time, cares about your eyes and takes a long-term view of your vision and eye health.
After searching online, I found Hultins Optik, and I am so incredibly glad I did.
From the first minute to the last, the service was incredibly professional, personal and thorough. You can really tell that they care about your eyes and don’t just see the eye test as something to get done quickly. Fantastic staff who work with old traditions and know the value of high quality & service. I arrived 20 minutes early, and a friendly lady asked if I would like something to drink in the meantime. She came back with coffee and a small chocolate, which I really appreciated. That alone gave me a fantastic impression of the staff. I sat drinking my coffee while customers came in, and in my opinion every one of them was very well looked after with great dedication. I don’t know if it can get much better than that. And last but not least, I got to meet the optician Åsa, who was the icing on the cake.

The other day I accidentally dropped my favourite sunglasses on the tarmac because of a broken case they slipped out of. Not only are they expensive designer sunglasses, I bought them abroad on a special occasion and they mean a lot to me.
In tears, I called around to different opticians here in Södermalm hoping someone could polish the scratched frames. The fantastic staff at Hultins fixed the damage in about 15 minutes! The frames look as good as new, and on top of that I was completely unexpectedly given a wonderful gift – a brand-new case from the same brand as my sunglasses! What amazing service! I will never forget how incredibly kindly I was treated.
I’ll soon need to book an eye test, and I know exactly where to go!

A perfect selection of carefully chosen brands such as Oliver Peoples and Moscot. Always good to have staff who are cheerful and service-minded. The optician who did my eye test was extremely thorough and even double-checked the values because she didn’t think they were right – and she was correct, since the machine had produced the wrong values. That saved me from getting incorrectly made glasses and all the hassle that would have meant.
