Vasuma glasses and sunglasses

The company strives to minimise its environmental impact throughout the entire production process, from the choice of materials to manufacturing methods. All their glasses are produced in small, independent factories in Italy and Japan. Inspiration is drawn from popular culture and historical trends, particularly from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, giving each model a modern twist on classic styles.

The story behind Vasuma

Vasuma was founded in 2005 by three friends with the ambition to challenge traditional eyewear brands. Their office and showroom are located in a historic 15th-century building in Gamla Stan, Stockholm, just a stone’s throw from the Swedish Royal Palace and Hultins Optik. The name Vasuma is a combination of the first two letters of the founders’ surnames: Jan Vana, Steffen Sundelius and Lars Malmsten.
