Eye examinations using state-of-the-art technology
Thanks to new technology, our opticians are now far better equipped to, for example, detect eye conditions at an early stage and, where necessary, refer you to an ophthalmologist. We work closely with highly skilled ophthalmologists, all to ensure the best possible care for your eyes.
For us, it’s important to look after your eyes in the best possible way. That’s why we believe it goes without saying that an eye test should take time. We want you, as a customer, to feel confident that when you leave our opticians, you’ve had a thorough assessment of your vision and eye health. Yes, your eye health.
This benefits your eyes in the long term. But even in the short term, having regular eye tests is beneficial for you. After all, there are constant developments in the field of spectacle lenses and contact lenses.
We hope to see you for an eye test at one of our branches in Södermalm or Östermalm in Stockholm.

Here are a few tips to help you prepare for your eye test:
Bring your current contact lenses and glasses:
If you already wear contact lenses or glasses, please bring them with you to your appointment. This will help the optician understand your previous prescriptions and preferences.
Know your screen distance:
If you suspect you need glasses for computer work, try to have an idea of the distance to your screen.
Make a list of your medicines:
If you’re taking any medicines that might affect your eyes, make sure you have the names of these medicines to hand. If you’re unsure, please check 1177.se beforehand.
Hereditary eye conditions:
If you have a hereditary eye condition, make a note of which members of your family also have it and what the condition is, for example, glaucoma or high eye pressure.
What happens during an eye test?
To help you feel confident about how an eye test is carried out at our practice, we’ve created a page where you can find out more. You can access it here: Before your eye test.
Once the examination is complete, you will be given a prescription if necessary. Of course, the optician will also explain your prescription during the examination, but if you already have a prescription, we have also created a page explaining how to interpret it: ‘How do I interpret my prescription?
’
