Warranty, right to make a complaint and indemnity insurance
When you buy glasses from Hultins Optik, you should feel secure. That is why you are, of course, covered by the rights provided under Swedish law, whilst we also offer extra peace of mind through our damage insurance.
Under the Consumer Sales Act, you have a three-year right to make a claim for original faults. Should a manufacturing fault or a defect giving rise to a claim arise, we will, of course, help you find a solution. In addition to this, the warranties offered by the respective manufacturers also apply (for example, Cartier offers a 24-month warranty, followed, of course, by the right to make a complaint).
To give you even better protection, we’re offering a year’s damage insurance when you buy a complete pair of glasses at the standard price. The insurance covers things that aren’t normally covered by the warranty or your right to make a complaint, for example, in the event of an accident.
Non-life insurance
- Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
- Covers accidental damage, such as if your glasses fall on the ground or if you sit on them
- No depreciation
- Excess of just 250 kr
- If your glasses are damaged, your optician – who knows your eyes and your vision – will be able to help you
- Option to easily extend the insurance cover
- The insurance policy supplements the consumer protection available in Sweden. The insurer is Solid Försäkring.

Care instructions for glasses
- Rinse the glasses under lukewarm, not hot, running water to remove any dirt particles that might scratch the lenses.
- Clean using a recommended spectacle cleaner, such as cleaning wipes, or with an ammonia-free washing-up liquid.
- Always dry yourself with a clean towel.
- Always clean your glasses with a clean, dry microfibre cloth.
