Optician in Södermalm
We are incredibly proud of our opticians. We know that their expertise and commitment to customer service, combined with high-quality brands and state-of-the-art equipment, really make a difference.
That thing you can’t quite put your finger on
We’ve long talked about ‘that feeling’ you get in the shop – a feeling that, after more than 80 years, is truly ingrained in the walls. That feeling that’s so hard to describe and convey, yet is always there. The feeling that makes it a pleasure to go to work, the feeling that makes our customers feel at home. The fact that many customers just pop in on their way home from work to have a coffee and see if any new items have arrived.
This page is our attempt to convey some of that feeling. For those of you who may never have the chance to pop in during your lunch break just to have a chat and catch up on the latest news. Below is a brief introduction to our opticians who work at Hultins Optik. If you click on each picture, you’ll be taken to a longer interview.
Åsa
Qualified optician, partner and chairperson at Klarsynt
After nearly three decades as an optician, Åsa has accumulated a wealth of experience, memories and plenty of stories from her time in the optometry industry. As one of the people behind Hultins Optik, she is known for her dedication, her eye for detail and her determination to always find the best solution for the customer.
But who is Åsa when she’s not in the shop? Here, she tells us more about her journey, what drives her and why she still loves her job after all these years.
Elsi
Qualified optician and partner
After nearly three decades in the opticians’ trade, Elsi has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Together with Åsa, she took over Hultins Optik in 2006 and has since helped to develop the business with the same energy and curiosity as when she first started.
Elsi is known for her positive attitude, her ability to see opportunities where others see problems, and her strong commitment to both customers and colleagues. But who is the person behind the optician who loves Mondays, large frames and never seems to stand still? Here, you can get to know Elsi a little better.
Karin
Qualified optician
Some people have a knack for making others feel at ease almost straight away. Karin is one such person. With her warmth, sense of humour and genuine interest in people, she has become a much-loved optician to many over the years. She likes it when glasses reflect a person’s personality, appreciates the little details that make a difference, and believes you’re never too old to try something new.
But what is it that still makes her job so enjoyable after all these years, and what hobbies fill her days when she leaves the shop? Here, you’ll get to know Karin a bit better.
Emma
Qualified optician
If you’ve ever been torn between two frames, wondered whether varifocals are really right for you, or needed someone to spot the details you miss yourself, then you’d probably have appreciated Emma. She combines a keen eye for vision solutions with a creative streak that means she loves to get really into the nitty-gritty of shape, colour and design.
When the working day is over, she sometimes swaps her glasses for a sketchbook, a book or a really good zombie series. Here, you can get to know Emma a bit better.
Anna
Qualified optician
Some people collect stamps. Anna, on the other hand, collects stories. After many years as an optician, she has met people in every conceivable situation and knows that the best days at work often come down to the little details.
She appreciates stylish frames with personality, loves cooking and dreams of eating her way through Japan. What’s more, she has an unexpected achievement on her CV involving the King of Sweden and an ice cream. Curious? Here, Anna tells us more about herself and life as an optician.
