RES REI is an Italian eyewear brand that crafts glasses and sunglasses with a passion for uniqueness and aesthetics, placing a strong emphasis on pattern and colour details in particular. Since 2011, designer and owner Oliviero Zanon has been creating an innovative, daring collection within a traditionally conservative industry.

Right from the start, Oliviero has been personally involved in the entire production process. The brand is a co-owner of the factory, which is located in a neighbouring town just outside Venice. The close proximity to the production site gives Oliviero the best opportunity to play an active role in the work as new designs, colours and materials take shape – from prototypes to finished models. Being personally involved from concept to finished product is a practice that characterises genuinely passionate designers. Designers who see every single model as a new ‘baby’.

RES REI is Latin and means ‘the thing’ – an existing object with substance and form. But it also signifies an idea with an enduring concept. We pay tribute to the Italian sense of design and say “Grazie mille”.
